There is nothing quite like homemade scones, banana-nut bread & chocolate cake. Deborah’s Tea and Pleasantries offers a variety of delicious desserts. My family & I were invited to one of her afternoon tea parties. We were impressed with the table setting as we enjoyed an assortment of her baked goods along with fresh strawberries – all served on fine china.

Indoor or outdoor, Deborah Pelofsky has the artistic ability to arrange a table setting for any special event such as a wedding shower.

Because Deborah bakes exquisite deserts using the finest ingredients, I’d like to recommend her catering service for any special event.

Outdoor Tea Setting

I was lucky enough to be a guest at a baby shower catered by Deborah Pelofsky, owner of Tea and Pleasantries. Deborah possesses an incredible hand-on, detail-oriented approach to her events, all while maintaining a genuinely friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable demeanor. There is something incredibly warm and inviting about attending a tea or luncheon, which includes dining off of a personal collection of beautiful china (and which also urges one to assume a “pinkies out” posture!). Ms. Pelofsky is obviously extremely skilled in the kitchen, and guests eagerly devoured every bite of her teacakes, breads and cookies. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Tea and Pleasantries facilitate my next event, and would feel confident that the result would be seamless, charming and delicious.

Pound Cake with Cream

I absolutely recommend Teas and Pleasantries for any event! Baby Shower’s, tea parties anything! I’ve had the pleasure of attending not one but two events that Tea and Pleasantries catered and I was never disappointed!

The china was breathtaking; it was as if each person’s personality showed in his or her own place setting. AND THE FOOD!!! From the cute finger sandwiches to all of the cakes and desserts I couldn’t stop eating. Deborah Pelofsky provided an outstanding selection for everyone to enjoy, she was professional, punctual and the events turned out perfect! I will ABSOLUTELY use her catering services for future parties as well as ordering her delicious banana bread for my own guilty pleasure!

Lemon Bread

I was fortunate enough to attend an event catered by Tea and Pleasantries a few months ago, and the food and teas were amazing! The cucumber and egg salad sandwiches were delicious, the apple cake and banana bread were exquisite, but my favorite was the lemon pound cake with icing, which was absolutely scrumptious. The various teas were equally savoury and my favorite was the chai tea, which was especially delectable.  However, what I enjoyed the most was the overall experience.  I had never seen so many beautiful teacups and plates, each one more unique and intricate than the next, and the teapots were equally as charming. If you are looking for a unique and delicious experience, I would definitely recommend Tea and Pleasantries. It was a one of a kind experience, I will never forget.

Baby Shower Photo

Deborah Pelofsky, owner of Tea & Pleasantries, was hired by my sister and husband to cater a baby shower for me. Deborah and her team went above and beyond everyone’s expectations – her attention to detail and exquisite taste was obvious. The overall presentation of the food and decor was classy and elegant. The gorgeous flower bouquets at each table were artfully arranged, the table settings were lovely, and the food and various teas were divine! My personal favorite was the angel food cake – the best I have ever tasted! One can tell that each dessert was made with the utmost care and finest ingredients. Deborah is a very talented baker. Also, much attention was paid to display of the “pleasantries,” they looked too pretty to eat!

Deborah is also very organized and easy to work with. She seamlessly coordinated event details with my sister, who was hosting the baby shower, and was easily able to work within our budget. I highly recommend hiring Deborah for your next event.
